Khadtal

Khadtal is a percussive instrument made of small flat wooden pieces, which produce vibrating rhythms when beaten together. Dating back to the thirteenth century the khadta is popular among Manganiyars of western Rajasthan for its fabulous rhythmic and tonal patterns. The performers sing and produce different beats with their hands.
